On Sunday the 17th of February the author Mr. Dervis Tippen and some of his friends, including Mr. Sten Phickenson and Mr. Woods Mattingley, visited the Pattaya Orphanage to spend some time with the children at the Motivation room.

This Christmas season some children from the Pattaya Orphanage gathered to a choir and performed at numerous occasion traditional Christmas carols.

The New Year began with firework and celebrations all over the world. Here in Pattaya a huge firework was displayed to welcome the beginning to 2012. On January the 6th the children at CPDC celebrated with a party at our compound which was joined by friends and supporters from many countries around the world. For some of the children, for the first time, this was a new year with a new beginning to a happier life, away from the dangers and risks they had previously experienced when living on the street.

On Saturday the 19th of May 5 children of the Pattaya Orphanage thanked two well known hotels for accepting them as trainees during the summer holidays. Four children had the chance to work at the four-star Thai Garden Resort, while one had been accepted by the Diana Garden Resort.

Songkran is Thailand’s New Year and takes place around the mid of April every year. In Pattaya this colorful celebration, which is the “Family Day” at the same time, takes place on the 19th of April every year. Therefore a great party was arranged by the Pattaya Orphanage joined by the staff and children of the PO and everyone from the CPDC as well as by all their friends. They all had a good start into the Thai New Year and every child from both projects had a memorable start to the New Year in customary fashion.

On Monday the 5th of March about 20 students of the Hong Kong International School together with two teachers visited first the Orphanage and then the CPDC. This was one day of their week program visiting the projects of HHN and the Father Ray Foundation.

On Wednesday the 29th of February eleven members of the SEGs group visited the orphanage in order to make a very generous donation. Thus the benefactors of many years from Australia, Canada, New Zeeland and the United States wanted to pay their last respects to their friend and former member of SEG Mr. Jeffrey D. Clarkin.

In the evening of Saturday, the 4th of February 2012, the Pattaya Orphanage was venue of a very special event, a Chinese acrobatic show. More than 3000 people did not pass up this golden opportunity and came to marvel.

On the 7th of February the director of the Thai Children’s Trust Foundation, Mr. Andrew Scadding, paid his annual visit to the two main projects of HHNFT, together with his colleagues Ms. Adele Shaw and Ms. Pat Orr.

On Monday the 9th of January 40 members of the “USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72” shared their time with the children of the Pattaya orphanage and the children of the Sotpattana School for the Deaf.
