BCT Youth Charity visits CPDC

On Sunday, the 1st May 2011, the CPDC was visited by the “Bridge Club Thailand Youth Charity“ which is a special project organized by the Office of Social Development and Protection of Children, Youth, Elderly and the Less Fortunate of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

Ms Punyawee Chodrapeephan, the coordinator of the Bridge Club Thailand , organized this great visit to the CPDC.  Miss Wanarat Boomattanakomkij, Chairmain of the Bridge Club Thailand, attended the visit and gave an interview about the Club’s history and activities to the Pattaya Mail TV.

For this special event the Child Protection and Development Center invited several families from the slums of Pattaya with their children to join the activities.  When the delegation of the Bridge Club arrived, the children of the CPDC had already started with their activities and sports in the field.  It was wonderful to see how the BCT youth integrated into the groups of smaller children and joined the games without any problems.  Besides the football games between the CPDC and the BCT, there were other activities such as tug-of-war and a racing duel too.  The children and teenagers enjoyed this exciting and fun day and had a good time at our center.

At lunchtime the children and families had a delicious meal together, which was hosted by the BCT. At the end of this very successful day the BCT donated  non-fiction books, as well as storybooks and magazines to the Education Center of the CPDC.   Parents of the youth  also donated food and other necessities for the children.

The HHN Foundation Thailand sincerely thanks the Bridge Club Thailand for this great visit and generous donation.  It was a very special day for the children and we hope to welcome your group again in the the near future.
