Medical Support for Children and Families

In times of rising medical costs, free health check-ups, like the ones provided by a medical team from Thanyarak Institute on Saturday 26rd, are of incomparable value to the children under our care. For the second time this year, the CPDC hosted a professional team of doctors and nurses that treated not only the children at our center, but also numerous families from slum areas in and around Pattaya.

UNODC Goodwill Ambassador Mira Sorvino visits the CPDC

Mira Sorvino, actress and goodwill ambassador to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), came to visit our center on Friday, March 25th. Taking a tour around the compound and spending time with the former street children, Mrs. Sorvino was impressed and touched in her heart by the work that is being done to fight child trafficking.

When a group of international students visited the CPDC they didn’t know what to expect. They learnt about the lives of children living on the streets and also how our center teaches children to care for themselves and others.

School for the Deaf celebrates Graduation

Proud parents, applause, dancing and nine young students, who are now ready to take on life. The graduation party of the Sotpattana School for the Deaf was, without a doubt, an important day in the lives of these young children. After several years of hard study, these deaf and hearing impaired children are now well prepared to enter Thailand’s public school system.

Japanese Task Force joins CPDC in the Fight against Human Trafficking

A special unit of the Japanese government has granted their support to the CPDC. The anti human trafficking task has agreed to donate a pick-up truck which will serve as a mobile unit for our outreach team. The mobile unit will dramatically extend the range of our outreach and prevention work in slum areas.
