Ground breaking for the dining sala
May 11, 2010

Monday, the 10th of May was a celebrating day for all CPDC children, staff members and friends. It was the ground breaking for the new dining sala

Everybody was very happy to welcome back the three friends of the CPDC, Ashley Syms, Pam Proto and Matt Cline. The Americans supported the CPDC from the very beginning. They visited the CPDC several times and got to know the children. Starting up with smaller projects they now realized more support for the CPDC .

That day all children and staff members as well as the special guests enjoyed an unforgettable ground breaking ceremony. To symbolize the to-be dining sala the children had decorated the area with a flower-adorned ribbon guarding the spot where the blade of the shovel would be put to use.

After it was cut open, all the three of them symbolical moved the first load of soil and therefore opened up the construction works.

Later that day everybody enjoyed playing with the children. The dining sala will be in the center of the CPDCs compound and it will be more than just a place to cook and eat. The building will be an open meeting place for all children and provide protection from sun and rain.

Everybody was very happy to welcome back the three founders, Ashley Syms, Pam Proto and Matt Cline, of the 3L Foundation. The American organization has supported the CPDC from the very beginning. The founders visited the CPDC several times and got to know the children. Starting up with smaller projects the 3L Foundation now realized their first big project by generously donating the new dining sala for the CPDC.
